New England Public Radio (88.5FM WFCR and 640AM WNNZ) seeks a creative, motivated reporter/producer to host All Things Considered. In addition to hosting regular newscasts, the host will produce high-quality spots, two-ways and features about events and people in western New England. The ideal candidate will be a strong writer and reporter with a conversational, authoritative on-air presence and have the ability to organize and effectively deliver multiple live newscasts.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, or related field. Three years experience as a reporter/producer, preferably in public radio. Ability to report, write, edit and produce high-quality news and feature material under deadline. Excellent communication and language skills, with appropriate “on-air” voice. Strong interest in public affairs with an ability to identify stories of regional interest. Ability to travel to locations of news stories and to work hours outside normal business day.
Salary: $39,000 – $49,200 (normal starting salary $39,000 – $44,100).
