Join us as we celebrate the opening of the Museums’ first-ever

Hispanic Heritage Month exhibition. Meet artist Rosa Ibarra, enjoy

live music, refreshments and a cash bar. Ages 21 and up.

Co-hosted by WGBY Public Television for Western New England.

About the Artist

Ibarra was born in Puerto Rico, spent her childhood in Old San

Juan, and went to high school in Paris. She holds a degree in fine

arts from the University of Massachusetts and has done post-grad-

uate studies in France. Focusing mainly on women and children,

her mixed media pieces incorporate materials that have special

meaning such as sea glass from the beaches of Old San Juan, gold

and silver leaf, or abalone shells. Exhibition on view September

15-October 14.
