The One-Day Medical Encounter offers participants a rare opportunity to explore the role and responsibilities of a Certified Nurse Assistant, Health Office, Sterile Processing Technician, and Community Health Worker in a realistic, safe, simulated environment prior to making a critical decision about job training and employment.
Participants in the One-Day Adult Medical Encounter spend 5 hours at the SIMS Medical Center exploring their potential as a CNA, Health Office Worker, Sterile Processing Technician, or Community Health Worker.
The objectives are to increase understanding of the duties of a health worker, increase understanding of the soft skills required to be a successful health worker, and to reflect on personal skills and “match” with the demands of being a health worker.
If you are working with someone that would like to participate in this Medical Encounter, please contact me at your earliest convenience. This is a good opportunity for people to have an understanding on their career decision.
Thanks for your cooperation in advance.
